Jesus Will Respond to You for What You Say to Yourself.

And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven... Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
Once, a Pharisee called Simon, who resided in Bethany, invited Jesus to dine with him. Jesus went to his house and was reclining at a dining table. Learning Jesus had visited Simon's house, a sinful woman from that city came to meet Him.
She brought an alabaster flask of ointment, and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.
Simon knew the whereabouts of that woman. The Scripture refers to that woman as a sinner. She might have been living an immoral life, and the people of that city were able to identify her as a sinner.
When Simon saw that woman shedding tears in the feet of the Lord Jesus and touching Him, Simon thought in his mind, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner."
The Bible says Simon said to himself, he thought so in his mind; at present, we call it 'mind voice'. Jesus, the King, and Prophet, knows the origin of our thoughts. Nothing is hidden from Him, even the good or the evil thoughts, desires, and intentions.
Jesus went on to respond to Simon's mind voice. (Will He not respond to our earnest prayers?) Jesus said to Simon that the woman was doing so knowing that Jesus was the Lord and Savior of the world and He had the authority to forgive her sins.
She had a deep conviction of her sins and was begging God for a pardon, not through her words but through her act of shedding tears and anointing with alabaster ointment. Jesus, who knew the thoughts of Simon, also knew the heart of the sinful woman. He responded to Simon for what he was telling himself by explaining the woman's intention.
Then, Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven... Your faith has saved you; go in peace." Which means the sinful woman was pleading for forgiveness in her mind. Jesus knew the origin of her thoughts as well. Jesus responded to both Simon and the sinful woman for what they thought in their minds.
The Lord and Saviour Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He knows your heart; He knows the reason for your tears. He knows you are desperately seeking forgiveness in your heart. He is loving, merciful, gracious, and faithful to respond to what you think and for what you are worried about and shed tears. Let us choose to trust Him with all our heart, soul, and body.
